When we first opened our doors in 2015, our goal was to produce everyday, elevated paper products using American-made materials—all while being mindful of our impact on the environment. As we celebrate our 5th anniversary, we’re also celebrating our commitment to these beliefs.
Our commitment as a brand is to make beautiful tools to inspire your work and productivity. Equally important is our commitment to supporting American manufacturers to source our materials, print our products and produce our packaging.
We pride ourselves on making earth-friendly decisions that don’t compromise the integrity or detail of our collection. We choose suppliers that prioritize sustainable practices and use materials that are both recyclable and biodegradable.
It is also important that our products are packaged with care and arrive in pristine condition. We are also mindful of using recycled materials and trying to eliminate single-use plastic in our packaging.
As we grow as a company, we hold steadfast to these commitments and appreciate the ongoing support of our customers.
We are proudly based in Ivy City, D.C. where our products are designed, finished and packed with care. Pickup online orders or shop our entire collection in the showroom in our headquarters. Shop hours are Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m

Suann Song—a graphic designer with a background in public relations and marketing, is the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Appointed. Suann has always believed a beautiful work environment and the tools you surround yourself with foster creativity, productivity and overall well-being.
Following an exhaustive yet unsuccessful search to find well made and refined desktop products that are manufactured in the U.S., Suann decided to create our own. Following 18 months of research, prototyping and design, she started Appointed in March 2015 by way of a Kickstarter campaign that raised seed funding to launch the company. As a graphic designer and former founder of SIMPLESONG Design, Appointed brings together Suann’s love of paper, organization and beautiful design.
