Our STORY

Appointed is an American-made brand of thoughtfully designed desktop products that make utility look luxurious. Following an exhaustive yet unsuccessful search to find well made and refined desktop products that are manufactured in the U.S., we decided to create our own. Practical, beautiful and handcrafted of the finest materials, Appointed goods are designed to elevate the work experience.

Appointed was founded by graphic designer, Suann Song, who believes a beautiful work environment fosters creativity, productivity and overall well-being. Each Appointed product is created with this philosophy in mind — while keeping design, functionality and craftsmanship our highest priority.

We are proudly based in Ivy City, Washington, D.C. where our products are designed, finished and packed with care. The entire Appointed product line and a curated selection of our favorite products are available for purchase in a showroom located in our office. Launched on Kickstarter

In March 2015, Appointed launched and successfully raised funding through a Kickstarter campaign. The funds raised from the campaign were used to put our first product — the notebook — into production. We are currently hiring for the following positions:

PART-TIME ASSEMBLY ASSOCIATES

We are seeking part-time Assembly Associates to join the growing Appointed team. This role will assist in assembling and packaging product, assisting with inventory counts and prepare product for shipping. This role assists with maintaining the highest quality control and requires an attention to detail, an efficient self-starter, and ability to lift boxes up to 30 pounds. Hours and schedule are flexible but generally within 9 - 5pm business hours. Position is located in our Washington, D.C. headquarters in Ivy City. GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN

Appointed is hiring for a Graphic Design intern. This internship will play an active role in designing marketing, creating social media content, photo editing and production design. Our ideal intern has the ability to work within an established brand identity while making creative contributions, an appreciation for minimalist and classic design, typography, and a love of fine paper. Position is for 15 - 20 hours per week and is ideally located in our Washington, D.C. headquarters in Ivy City.
